Fleur De Lis Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Surgery Sydney

During a Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), the excess skin around your stomach is removed with a single major incision below the underwear line. A Tummy Tuck is (amongst other things) removing excess skin of the abdominal wall. Usually, a standard Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) is all that's required to achieve that. However, sometimes so much excess skin exists that a different technique and scar pattern is required to optimally reconstruct the abdominal wall. A Fleur De Lis Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) is an extension of a standard Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) and is suitable for patients with significant excess skin up and down and side to side along the lower abdominal wall. To reconstruct this, in addition to the lower abdominal wall incision of a standard Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), an additional incision is made along the entire midline of the abdomen up to the lower chest. This allows the removal of excess skin along the sides to help bring in the waistline - tightening the abdominal wall both vertically and horizontally.

PRE-SURGICAL VIDEOS - FLEUR DE LIS TUMMY TUCK (ABDOMINOPLASTY)

In the following videos Dr Dona explains the basic reconstructive surgical principles of the relevant procedure. These videos are taken immediately prior to surgery after Dr Dona had made his tentative surgical markings. These markings serve as a guide for how much skin (and associated fatty tissue) Dr Dona intends on removing.

After images shown are generally taken between 3-6 months post-surgery.

The outcomes shown are only relevant for the patients shown and are not a guarantee that you will have similar results, even if you have a similar body type or shape. Results may vary due to many factors including an individual’s genetics and lifestyle.
